Standard and Enhanced
Enhanced uses a more capable model for full chapters. Both follow your glossary and saved instructions. Pick one in the reader before each translation.

*Plus includes 3,000,000 output tokens per billing period, enough for around 825 Standard chapters. Longer chapters use more. When the allowance runs out, you can use 10 Standard chapters a day (or 2 Enhanced) until a new Plus period begins. Frostreads never charges overages.

What counts toward my allowance?
Successful chapter translations, including retranslations you ask for, use your allowance. On Plus, successful AI prose rewrites also use remaining Plus allowance at the Standard rate. Failed attempts, automatic retries, scans, and name matching don’t use your allowance. Frostreads reserves allowance while work runs and returns whatever it didn’t use.
On both plans, each chapter also gets:
- 2 character scans and 2 term scans; Free scans also share the daily AI limit
- 3 AI rewrites, including untranslated-text repairs; Free rewrites also share the daily AI limit
- 3 retranslations after the first successful translation
- Name matching with no per-chapter limit
The per-chapter counts stay with the chapter. They don’t reset daily, at renewal, or when you upgrade; the separate Free daily AI limit resets each day. Once you reach a chapter count, you can still edit by hand.
Will I be charged if I go over?
No. Frostreads doesn’t charge overages. When your Plus allowance runs out, you can use 10 Standard chapters a day (or 2 Enhanced) until it renews. Scans and name matching stay available within their limits. AI prose rewrites need remaining Plus tokens; manual edits remain available.
What happens when the beta ends?
Plus goes back to $5.99 USD a month. If you don’t subscribe, you return to the free plan. During the beta, the Plus allowance renews at the start of each month (UTC).
What happens when Plus ends?
You return to the free plan. Your earliest watched novel stays active and the others pause. Turn a paused novel back on to swap it in. Your library and saved translations stay available.
Can I change which novels I watch?
Yes. Plus watches up to 10 novels at once, and you can swap them whenever you like.
When does my allowance renew?
After each successful subscription payment. Unused allowance doesn’t roll over. Your remaining allowance and billing date are in account settings. Complimentary Plus access lasts for its granted period.
How do I manage or cancel my subscription?
Open Manage billing in account settings to view invoices, pay an unpaid invoice, or cancel renewal. The billing page explains how to change your renewal card, request a refund, or withdraw from a contract.
